“As a portrait artist, I am able to capture unique personality and characteristics of the subjects I paint as I explore textures through strokes of the painted surface and fine details of the imagery. A love of people and a deep interest in the human experience is relevant in my work. My experience with fine pencil drawings and large-scale oil paintings have increased my interest in exploring new ways to capture life in still imagery. My creativity continues to evolve from my latest works of art, capturing images to showcase fine details of skin texture and depth through pencil strokes into my most recent explorations of new ways to invoke personal and relevant feelings through symbolism.”
